Assistant Professor – Geomatics/Geodesy

A 9-month tenure-accruing position is available in the School of Forest, Fisheries, and Geomatics Sciences, Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences, at the University of Florida.  The position is 50% teaching (College of Agricultural and Life Sciences – CALS) and 50% research (Florida Agricultural Experiment Station). Duties will include developing and teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in Geodesy and/or other Geomatics courses such as Geodetic Positioning and GPS-INS Integration using the latest technologies and approaches for engaged learning, including online modalities.  The successful candidate will have demonstrated skills in teaching and research in geodesy, verbal and written communication, interpersonal relationships, procurement of extramural funding, and forming and working in partnership with industry, agencies, and organizations.  Individuals wishing to apply should go to http://apply.interfolio.com/94335 to view the full position description and application instructions.  Questions about the position should be directed to Dr. Ben Wilkinson, benew@ufl.edu.
