Chris McAlisterPrincipal Project Officer, eSurvey Unit at the Queensland Department of Natural Resources and Mines

Chris McAlister is passionate about her job and industry. She is currently the project lead for the Queensland ePlan project, where surveyors are able to exchange survey data and information with the government for the creation of plans and titles. She is also president of the Queensland Spatial and Surveying Association and has been an industry leader for the last six years.

A widely recognized expert and geo-personality throughout Australia, Chris is the marketing chair for the Destination Spatial Initiative that aims to educate people in the community about spatial information while promoting surveying and spatial information as career paths.

Chris holds a BA and an MS in surveying and spatial information from the University of New South Wales. In her spare time, she volunteers as a scout leader and neighborhood watch coordinator, plays soccer, and is raising her two small boys with her husband, who is a geodetic surveyor.
