Ainura Temirova

Post-graduate Geomatics Student, University of Glasgow Kazakhstan

The large, beautiful, and resource-rich central Asian country of Kazakhstan is the home of Ainura Temirova and where she began her quest for a career in geography. Her studies began at Eurasian National University, the premier technical university in the region, and she began working for the Geotechnical Institute as a GIS researcher. Exposure to advanced GIS and geomatics inspired Ainura to advance her English language skills and to apply to her top choice for further studies, the University of Glasgow. She is the recipient of the Bolashak International Scholarship of the President of Kazakhstan for exceptional students to study at top international universities. Ainura is dedicated to improving not only her own skills and knowledge of GIS and geomatics, but, though her postgraduate studies, her contribution to the future development of geospatial technologies and research.
