Marine Advanced Technology Education (MATE) International ROV Competition Winners – Washington, USA

Seattle schoolmates Alex Miller, Nicholas Orndorff, and sibling Clara Orndorff (whose initials make up the team name) have been designing and building competition ROVs for more than five years. The team garnered a special award at the 2014 International and grand prize at the 2015 International ROV competition.

The team was featured in the cover story of the April 2014 issue of Professional Surveyor and are featured in a documentary sponsored by xyHt: “Water Pressure,” about the Marine Advanced Technology Education (MATE) educational outreach program and competitions. Watch Online.
