The heart and soul of high-precision GNSS equipment—for survey rovers, precision agriculture and machine guidance, defense, airborne and mobile mapping systems, etc.—are the receiver boards and, specifically, the core cards. For NovAtel, a major producer of standalone and OEM GNSS hardware, components, and solutions, the development of all core cards is under the capable helm of Sandy Kennedy at their high-tech research, development, and production facility in Calgary, Alberta.

Sandy leads the development of all of Novatel’s receiver cards.  She holds BS and MS degrees in geomatics engineering from the University of Calgary and is a recognized technical leader in the field of precise positioning.  She has presented at many international conferences, has co-chaired many sessions, and most recently was one of the conference organizers for the Institute of Navigation (ION) GNSS+ 2015.
